How much is that football kit?
We have been busy working out how much it costs when we buy lots of something.
Why not plan a kit for your own fotball team. You need to check the prices of all the bits of kit and multiply by the number of players. Add up all the totals to find out how much it would cost to kit out a team. Think about how many players in your team, whether you need an away kit, etc. Draw a table to help you to organise and plan your ideas. What is the most expensive kit? The cheapest? Have a look at this site for prices http://www.acasports.co.uk/index.php?cPath=30&osCsid=17c94b47712b0e2ec102e86dbc2bb7c2
If you don't like football, think about another sport or a pop group. Just make sure you practise your multiplication skills.

Making Hoummus b'tahine
Year 5 enjoyed making hoummus b'tahine with Mrs Woodward on Friday. This dish is often eaten in Egypt with warmed pitta bread.
The ingredients are simple but you need to taste as you go and add more of the flavours you like. Some people aren't too keen on garlic so we didn't put too much into our recipe.
Let us know what you thought of the hoummus. Better still, have a go at making it at home and post any changes you made to the recipe.

Fantastic fundraising!
A huge well done to the children in 5W who baked, decorated and sold cakes to raise money for Children in Need.
They gave up their playtime to sell to their hungry classmates and are rightly proud to have raised over £100 from the sale.
The cakes were delicious and we would like to thank all the parents and carers for their support and generosity.
5W make TV history!
5W had a fun-packed day on Monday when we travelled across London to the BBC Television Centre at White City. There, in a specially designed classroom called 21CC, we planned, acted and filmed ideas for our very own television programme based around what we know about Ancient Egypt. We even learnt about editing before watching our finished masterpiece.
The BBC staff were absolutely brilliant teachers and we were really lucky to have lots of fantastic parents who were happy to give up their time to join us on the trip.
We will show you the film as soon as we receive it from the BBC but in the meantime we hope you enjoy looking at our photos.
