On thursday the 19/01/12 year 5 and 6 went to the south hall and did some first aid with us.A man called Jon came to tell us the process of first aid training.Jon tought us a word called DR.HAB which tells us what to do if someone has an accident this is what you do:
D -danger
R-response
H-help!
A-airway
B-breathing.
Danger means look for anything around you that the person might have tripped over. Responce means that call to them and see if they can response.Help means just shout for help.Airway means open their mouths slightly tilt their head backwards.Breathing. After call the ambulance ,then check if their bleeding on the head ,the back and the legs and always remember to look at your hands after each part. If there is no bleeding now check the bones.
Now the most important part is to do the cpr. The cpr is say the person is not breathing you pump their chest 30 times and then you breath in the mouth 2 times if the chest goes up that means you have done it right.
There are only 3 reasons why you should stop. 1 is if you get tired 2 is if the paramedics come or if the person start to breath. by Jade and Debrah 5W
